The first stage in applying to the GA/FIAL UK Accelerator will be attendance at the largest trade show in the UK in 2018, Food & Drink Expo, at the NEC in Birmingham, from 16th to 18th April 2018. Over 30,000 commercial visitors are this year again expected to visit this significant trade event.
Australian candidate brands will join over 30 new and innovative UK brands launching nationally in the UK on the Grocery Accelerator “Discovery Shop” New Products Pavilion. This is a dedicated and high-profile space curated by the GA team, where trade buyers from the full spectrum of the retail and food service market head to see food innovation and product trends. It will be a unique platform to gain first hand feedback on the potential demand for your products in the dynamic and competitive UK market.

Ideally brands will be able to attend the Food & Drink Expo with their products in person – telling their story can really make the difference with new product launches. However, if the brands are not able to make it to the UK, GA is offering a free sampling service. A member of the GA team will be on hand to represent the brands and offer samples to potential trade buyers attending the show. Brands invited to join us can simply air-freight product samples and Grocery Accelerator will take care of it from there.
